Poland

For thousands of years Poland has sat in one of the most precarious of positions, jammed in the most unfortunate of locations between rival European powers vying for European, and sometimes even global, domination.

Poland has been annexed, conquered, dominated, partitioned and even erased from the map of Europe as superpowers dating back to the Mongol invaders, have sought to include Poland into their global empire.

But this constant harassment has done little to stem the Polish people’s fierce defence of democracy. Most recently the Polish people heralded the dawn of a new democratic era for Eastern Europe, standing defiantly against their communist occupiers and launching a new democratic period in Poland’s history.

Our base in Poland is the historic city of Krakow. Krakow is home to stunning architecture dating back to it’s medieval past, built no doubt to resist further harassment. Krakow is an old but vibrant and up and coming city, and with this economic growth has come demand for people to come and help teach English.

Coupled with economic growth, Krakow has seen a vast increase in visitors to this beautiful city, a growth fuelled by the increase in low cost flights. You can now fly to Krakow from many locations from as little as £9 each way, making our Polish destination ideal for those with restricted budgets!

Our programme in Poland starts in January 2008 but reserve your place now and book yourself on a cheap flight with our friends at Jet2.
